Attorney Ashitha Bhagwan Joins Royse Law Firm

Nov. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Palo Alto—Roger Royse, founder of Royse Law Firm, a corporate and tax law firm, announced today that Attorney Ashitha Bhagwan has joined the firm.  “Ashitha Bhagwan focuses her practice on the formation, development and financing of emerging growth companies located in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions,” said Royse.  “Her experience with the Indian legal system provides additional resources to Royse Law Firm clients who have a presence in India or are doing business there.”

Ashitha Bhagwan said her practice involves advising founders and their teams on a wide range of corporate issues, including formation, equity structure, employment, corporate governance, intellectual property and commercial transactions.  “As part of my cross-border practice, I help foreign companies enter the U.S. market by advising on cross-border issues, structuring for a U.S. presence, intellectual property strategy, and foreign direct investment reporting requirements in the U.S.”

Ashitha Bhagwan holds a LL.M. in corporate law from New York University School of Law; an LL.B. from University Law College in Bangalore, India; a PGDIPR from National Law School of India University in Bangalore, India; and a B.A. in laws from University Law College in Bangalore, India.  She is licensed to practice in California and India.

For five years prior to joining Royse Law Firm, Ashitha was the managing attorney of the Law Office of Ashitha Bhagwan.  She has been an attorney with Trivium Law, served as a law clerk for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County under Justice Aaron Persky and worked internationally with Justice Jagannath Shetty.  Ashitha is a member of the American Bar Association; the Bar Council of India; the San Mateo County Bar Association; the South Asian Bar Association; and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE).
