UAE consumer products company rapidly expanding its reach
In hopes of setting itself apart from other Middle Eastern shopping sites, Basket.ae is stepping up customer service with expediting shipping, an online chat for immediate help and quality goods.
“Customer service is our priority,” said Hazem Saed, Basket.ae operations director. “We will provide a superior level of service to our customers which will make them want to come back to us and recommend us to their friends. We will simply not be beaten in our dedication to our customers.”
That dedication also extends into the product lines Basket.ae carries. Mr. Saed said his company will only carry products and goods which he would be willing for his family to have. Featuring Dead Sea products and fine cosmetic supplies, Basket.ae is adding even more to its website in expectations of becoming the largest Internet shipping destination for the Middle East.
“Our strategy is to be one stop shop for all of a consumer’s needs. Another of our main competitive points is that all products on our website have free express delivery to the UAE and a minimal cost to the GCC Area. Delivery estimates for our customers are calculated on real time information which makes buying from our site more attractive than from other sites which don’t provide realistic delivery times,” he said.
Basket’s initial lineup includes fine mineral cosmetics, Dead Sea products, and hard-to-obtain gadgets like Android world’s smallest TV box, RemindU key-chain, and LED Balloons which have made big hit on group saving websites like groupon.ae and hitthedeals.com . Further, many of these items are hard to acquire in the Middle East.
“That too is a major consideration for us. If we can bring in quality products at reasonable prices, we are going to do that,” he said. “That is just part of the high level of customer service we intend to provide.”
The decision to make the Mineral Cosmetics be a premium line and one of the first for the company was done to establish Basket.ae as a premier shipping destination for Internet shoppers across the Middle East.
“We aim to be a premier supplier of only the best products from around the globe,” he said. “We chose to start with this line of cosmetics and beauty supplies because Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics are universally recognized for their quality.”
He said he is also scouring the globe for unique items and more natural products like those already in the store.
“Our initial product line was small. It has grown a good bit since we launched the website and continues to grow. We have a number of companies in negotiations now for us to carry their products,” Mr. Saed said. “We also welcome customer feedback of what they would like to see on Basket.ae. We are here to serve people after all.”
