Underwater Sculpture Park Featured And Hailed By National Geographic
As One Of Earth’s 25 Most Awesome Places

Grenada’s unparalleled Underwater Sculpture Park, with statues created by Jason deCaires Taylor,will be among the many highlights that the Spice of the Caribbean will feature at this year’s DEMA Show on November 14-16, 2012.  
The Underwater Sculpture Park was featured earlier this year in a special edition of the National Geographic magazine entitled “Wonders of the World – Earth’s most awesome places.
Another of Grenada’s outstanding dive attractions presented at this year’s DEMA is the Bianca C.  Known as the “Titanic of the Caribbean,” due its sheer size and presence, the Bianca C has very few rivals in warm water wreck diving. In fact, diving experts have listed the Bianca C as one of the 'top ten' wreck dive sites in the world. This enormous 600` Italian Cruise Liner sank in 1961 off the coast of Grenada.  She sits upright on her keel in 50 meters (165') of water.
With numerous snorkel areas and 50 dive sites, on two islands to choose from, Grenada’s dive operators boast that there is always something new and exhilarating for divers of all abilities to explore.
Hoteliers are also capitalizing on Grenada’s excellent dive opportunities.  For example, the Flamboyant Hotel and Villas and Dive Grenada recently launched their “Romance on the Reef," a new underwater proposal, wedding and vow renewal package.  These unique romance packages were created for those couples who thought that getting married couldn’t possibly get any more creative. Dive Grenada has even trained a pastor to dive in order to officiate. With the use of an underwater slate and pencil, he will do the final exchange of vows for the couple.

Visitors can reach Grenada via American Airlines which currently operates four flights from Miami on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.  An additional flight is expected to be added by the spring of 2013. Caribbean Airlines currently operates service on Wednesdays and Saturdays from New York’s JFK Airport.  They will be putting on additional flights for the Christmas peak season on December 18 and 20, 2012, and January 1 and 3, 2013.  Delta Airlines offers weekly flights (seasonal) from New York JFK on Saturdays.
