-- Stream Energy announced today that it is once again providing the Fuel Fund of Maryland with a corporate donation to assist low-income families.
Founded in 1981, the Fuel Fund of Maryland provides financial relief to families in distress, with an emphasis on meeting their heating and energy needs.
“Stream Energy appreciates how important energy service is to the health of families,” said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. “This donation marks Stream Energy’s third gift to the Fuel Fund within the last year and a half, raising our total donations to $12,500.”
“The Fuel Fund of Maryland is grateful for the generous support of Stream Energy,” said Mary Ellen Vanni, Executive Director of the Fuel Fund of Maryland. “Since entering the Maryland market, Stream Energy has demonstrated a commitment to helping low-income Maryland families power and heat their homes by supporting the Fuel Fund. The Fuel Fund of Maryland relies on the generosity of companies like Stream Energy to make sure families can keep their homes safe and warm. In the last 12 months, the Fuel Fund has assisted 7,333 families with utility and other fuel bills.”
Since 2011, Stream Energy has provided electricity service to customers in Maryland. The firm received numerous awards and accolades for corporate philanthropy, and Stream Energy encourages customers and the public at large to join in supporting its community partners.
