Clondalkin Specialist Packaging Group awarded distinguished Pro Carton/ECMA Award for Nivea 'Push Top' design, opened like a traditional English Christmas cracker
Distinguished Pro Carton/ECMA Award
Clondalkin Group is delighted to be awarded for its:
Beiersdorf Mini Essentials “Push Top” design
at the annual Pro Carton/ECMA Awards presented on 20th September 2012 at the ECMA Congress in Copenhagen.
Clondalkin’s “Push Top” design is an innovative hexagonal shape, which can be opened like a traditional English Christmas Cracker.
The annual Pro Carton/ECMA Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the packaging sector and is now in its16th year. The award honours packaging which has proven itself on the market and for the first time, the competition was open to all partners of the supply chain: carton board and carton manufacturers, designers, brand owners and the retail trade.
Clare Wright, Nivea Gifting Manager said of the Clondalkin design:
“It is a cost-effective, yet singular design which allowed us to stand out in stores during a highly competitive season. The market for gifts increased by 1.2% in 2011 and Nivea grew by 13.2%. This is the first concept we have used for the second year running, as it is a real eye-catcher on the shelves and generates interest.”
Mark Briggs, UK Sales and Marketing Director for Clondalkin Cartons commented:
“As far as we know this is the first time that a gift pack design has run for two consecutive years. We know that the end consumer has responded enthusiastically on the entire Nivea Festive range and at Clondalkin UK, we are delighted to play an active part in the preparation and design of these products”.
