Nov. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Personalised card company The Dog's Doodahs http://www.thedogsdoodahs.com/default.aspx has announced the launch of its annual search for the UK's funniest blog. The award, now in its second year, celebrates those bloggers that help brighten our days with their irreverent, sardonic, or just plain wacky sense of humour.
Those lovely people at TheDogsDoodahs.com love a good giggle. They spend their days coming up with funny captions for their cards, and are always on the look out for things to make them smile. It's good for them too - look: https://s3.amazonaws.com/easel.ly/all_easels/42683/Laugh_More/image.jpg. So the UK's Funniest Blog Award is a good excuse for a chuckle or two.
Along with the glory of the title The UK's Funniest Blog, the winning blogger will become the proud owner of a Samsung Chromebook.
TheDogsDoodahs.com is inviting the public to nominate their favourite funny blogs. A shortlist will be decided and then put to an online vote. The winner will be announced in the New Year.
Current holder of the title of The UK's Funniest Blog is Scaryduck.blogspot.com, which is neither scary nor a duck. Blogger Alistair Coleman clearly captured the imagination of the public with his irreverent sense of humour. He took 48% of the public vote and, acknowledging his win, said:
"I think you'll agree that with such a great bunch of finalists, comedy was the winner. Me, and comedy, obviously."
Recent posts by Scaryduck cover "The Hitler Time Machine conundrum", smug travel books, and a spotter's guide to wedding discos. Alistair Coleman also blogs for The Huffington Post, writes books, and provides a valuable resource as curator of Dull News in Local Newspapers.
