By: Steamaster The new Typhoon Pressure Washer from Steamaster has been going through its initial paces as Council staff familiarise themselves with the equipment which can deliver a pressure spray of 5400 psi. Council’s General Manager Infrastructure Paul DeLisio said the $30,000 piece of equipment would serve a number of purposes for Council. “The high heat, high pressure system allows us to remove everything from grime to chewing gum off our footpaths. We also have the ability to create a fresh look to paved and tiled areas because of the fittings we have purchased with the cleaner,” Mr DeLisio said. “Fortunately the pressure cleaner also has the ability to remove graffiti and other offensive vandalism.” The Australian developed and manufactured product has been purchased by a number of councils across NSW. “While the new pressure washer gives us a number of options to keep our footpaths clean, members of the community can also assist by correctly disposing of food items and cigarettes in bins provided around the city,” Mr DeLisio said.
