Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- On Saturday, November 3, Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc. (SEM Link), through its Math and Science Career Academy, served as an exhibitor for the Bay Area Science Festival’s Discovery Day at A T & T Park. Discovery Days, the concluding event of the festival, transformed AT&T Park into a science extravaganza for families with more than 150 exhibits and had over 30,000 attendees.

The SEM Link exhibit was titled “Linking Science to Everyday Materials” and engaged attendees in some pretty cool science experiments using everyday materials from grocery and discount stores. “We love to show young people how every day life is science with hopes of sparking interest in the field,” explained Ms. Tokiwa T. Smith, Founder and Executive Director of SEM Link. “SEM Link was proud to be a part of this event along with Bay Area science organizations to help inspire and educate Bay Area through hands-on encounters in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).” The festival had a non-stop program packed full of interactive exhibits, experiments, games, and shows, all meant to entertain and inspire.
