Since ERA is a New Jersey based company, many ERA’s around the country feel compelled to lend a hand. ERA Sunrise Realty in Georgia has started a specialized disaster relief effort to “Help the Babies Now.” The real estate firm is collecting supplies through next week at its offices: diapers & wipes, formula, bottles, and baby food. ERA Central in New Jersey is helping to place victims in short and long term rental homes. ERA Justin in Rutherford, NJ is offering relocation services to those who have been uprooted as a result of the storm.
If you would like to get involved in Sandy aid, there are several ways to help. The American Red Cross is offering shelter, clothing, supplies, food and blood. To donate $10 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief, text the word REDCROSS to 90999 or you can call 800-RED-CROSS. The Humane Society is leading pet search and rescue efforts, to donate visit humanesociety.org. The Salvation Army is aiding with hot meals, water, and shelter. To send a $10 donation via text message, text the word STORM to 80888 or take clothing and furniture to local Salvation Army locations.
