Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Princeton, West Virginia –Chevrolet is an automaker that cares, and to that end, the company recently donated 50 Silverado trucks and Express cargo vans to help with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

The vehicles were donated to the American Red Cross, which can in turn utilize them in its disaster recovery efforts in the areas that were hit the hardest by the storm. General Motors equipped each donated vehicle with OnStar hands-free calling as well as 300 free calling minutes and three months of OnStar’s directions and connections plan.

Earlier, the GM foundation donated $250,000 to the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy disaster relief efforts. Estimates of the damage caused by the storm are currently around $20 billion.
