Its flagship station, KNPR began broadcasting on March 24, 1980 as Nevada's first National Public Radio (NPR) affiliated station. Nevada Public Radio operates a non-commercial, radio broadcast network comprised of seven stations and is overseen by a volunteer board of directors including founder and Director Emeritus, Lamar Marchese. “I am looking forward to serving as Vice-Chair of Nevada Public Radio.
