Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Newly established freelance copywriter, Kath Finney, has pledged to help companies stamp out corporate jargon and “generic business fluff” through a UK-based copywriting service for digital and print.

Recently awarded a Diploma in Copywriting with Distinction from The Blackford Centre for Copywriting, Kath aims to educate business leaders about the importance of clear messaging and help them craft revenue-driving copy that gets straight to the point.

Kath says it is still clear that even in the digital age, lots of companies are underestimating the importance of their words, with many business leaders believing that they can cut costs by handling writing tasks internally instead of hiring a professional. “That is one of the reasons why confusing corporate waffle is still abundant within the business world,” she insists.

“Corporate jargon doesn’t create desire among your customers to spend money. It confuses people and often leaves them with more questions than answers,” Kath says. “It sounds obvious, but companies need to use language that their customers understand – and professional copywriters can help them do that,” she concludes.

Kath, who helps companies write anything from press releases, articles and business reports, to websites, blogs and social media posts, can be contacted through her website: www.thewordlady.co.uk
