Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- It was sassy, entertaining, and casually fabulous. AIDS Services of Dallas kicked off their sweetest fundraising event, the Eighth Annual No Tie Dinner & Dessert Party, at Scott + Cooner with white go-go boots and an enthusiastic team of chairs who promised some serious ‘fun’raising. The No Tie Dinner & Dessert Party is the largest fundraiser for AIDS Services of Dallas which provides housing and supportive services for low-income and formerly homeless men, women, children, and families living with HIV/AIDS. The main event, themed “Desserts a Go-Go,” will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 starting at 8:00 p.m. at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. Opportunities are currently available for sponsorships, dinner hosts, and volunteers.

The kick-off party celebrated the new 2013 Chairs. Stylist, interior designer and all-around Renaissance man David Nelson co-chairs the 2013 No Tie party with No Tie founder Dennis Kershner, sales executive at Interior Resources. America’s sassiest lifestyle guru and international event planner extraordinaire Steve Kemble serves as Honorary Chair.

Guests were greeted at the door by female models dressed in white go-go boots and sequin skirts escorted by fashionably “un-tied” male models in fedoras. Hattie’s provided delectable hors d’oeuvre including Bison Sliders and Bloody Mary Shrimp Cocktails while DJ Mark Ridlen (a.k.a. DJ Mr. Rid) played surf and lounge music. Additional attendees included ASD President/CEO Don Maison, NBC’s Samantha Davies, last year’s Honorary Chair Dr. Gary Tigges, the dapper John Reoch, Julian Leaver of Bella Flora, and Jimmy Choo . . . as in the adorable furry best friend of Hal and Noreen Matthews.
