LGBT Advocate in UK makes comments on 2 international incidents involving gays

An International LGBT rights advocate gives commentary on 2 international incidents.

Nov. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- A gay club in Paris was the target of an attack by five Muslim extremists,  who entered the club, beating the bouncers and  additionally spraying some patrons with tear gas,  according to Gay Star News ©(http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/muslim-extremists-tear-gas-gay-marais-attack051112)

Speaking with Gay Star News, Omar Kuddus, a gay Muslim LGBT advocate based in the UK said:

"The Quran states that as Muslims we are obliged to respect the views and beliefs of others, and in my interpretation, this includes homosexuality."

"It is not man’s duty to judge his fellow man, but Allah’s – that’s something many Muslims seem to have forgotten.

We are all Allah’s children and the Quran does not condone hatred violence.

'Gays are his creation - a fact that most Islamic scholars seem to ignore or do not comprehend.'

Commenting on another news item,  about a Halloween party in Jordan which was attacked as being "satanic", Kuddus told press:

"This is an attempt to sensationalise and use homosexuality as means to get political power.

‘The phenomena to scapegoat everything on homosexuality is common to many fundamentalists.

‘In the USA we heard how Christian and Jewish groups blame gays for hurricane Sandy; the Muslim Brotherhood is just using the same game.

‘A sexual minority which is deliberately misunderstood is easily identified and used as scapegoats when indeed there are social and political problems in Jordan that need addressing."
