2012 Skateboard, Inline, and BMX Contests throughout November and December  

ROYAL OAK, MICH. - Modern Skate will be looking to crown the Michigan amateur champion in Skateboard, Aggressive Inline Skating, and BMX. The MASKS (Michigan Amateur Skate Kontest Series) skateboarding, BMX and inline will include a preliminary qualifying contest series ending with an “invite only” final at Modern Skate Park in Royal Oak, Mich. More than $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded during this year’s competition, making it the longest running action sports contest series in Michigan, and one of the most rewarding.

The MASKS will feature new street divisions for ramps and bowls, from beginner through adult. There will be a $20 entry fee, which includes all day skating with registration one hour prior to each contest. In addition to the advanced series, there will also be an elite amateur division (open to all ages) street league contest to win $1,000! The top three riders from each qualifier, in each division, in each sport, will go on to compete in the M.A.S.K.S finals at Modern Skate Park.

Nov. 3 -  Skateboard – Noon
Nov. 4 -  BMX – 6 p.m.
Nov. 7 -  In-line – 6:30 p.m.
Nov. 10 -  Skateboard – Noon
Nov. 11 -  BMX – 6 p.m.
Nov. 14  -  In-line – 6:30 p.m.

FINALS – INVITE ONLY (Royal Oak Skate Park)

Dec. 8 -  Skateboard – Noon
Dec. 9  -  BMX – 6 p.m.
Dec. 12  -  In-line – Noon
