Baxi say installers can drive Green Deal
Boiler manufacturer Baxi believes Green Deal will bring a critical boost to installers if they are able to recommend the most efficient boilers to their customers.
The Green Deal is a Government-backed scheme to reduce the UK’s carbon emissions by improving the energy efficiency of our buildings, and includes £270 cash-back for homeowners who replace their old boiler with a high efficiency product.
Andrew Keating, Managing Director of Baxi is encouraging installers to spread this good news to their customers. “Homeowners can reduce their fuel bills by up to £300 a year by replacing an inefficient boiler with a new high-efficiency model. But not all high-efficiency boilers offer the same amount of energy bill savings for the householder,”
“Energy efficiency for Green Deal is measured by Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure (RdSAP) - which predicts heating and hot water costs. Installers should be aware of a boiler’s RdSAP value and pass this information on to their customers.”
Baxi is the UK’s oldest boiler manufacturer, and its range of high-efficiency boilers have been awarded the best RdSAP value, which means they offer the biggest long-term saving on energy bills.
Home Improvements under Green Deal can be financed with reduced, or in some cases, no up-front costs to the householder. The costs are repaid over time by the savings made by the energy efficient measures put into place. Funding will be available from the 28 January 2013 for households in England and Wales.
Baxi has just launched a handy calculator allowing installers to demonstrate to homeowners the fuel savings they could achieve by replacing their inefficient boiler. Visit www.calculators.baxi.co.uk/
