Freehold NJ Chiropractor Extends Coat and Food Drive to Help Those Devastated by Hurricane Sandy

Nov. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Dr. Russell Brokstein and the Association of NJ Chiropractors (ANJC) launch their statewide community service initiative, "Baby It's Cold Outside" every year, to help the less fortunate during the upcoming winter holiday season.  Things are even more difficult this year after Hurricane Sandy left devastation around the entire state, especially the NJ beaches.

For the 6th year, ANJC members will be running food drives in conjunction with collection of donations of unwanted clothing, coats, hats, gloves and scarves in good condition for distribution to food pantries, local community groups, and charities.  Dr. Brokstein is extending the drive to help those who lost so much from Sandy's punch.

Dr. Russell Brokstein, Freehold NJ Chiropractor and owner of Hometown Family Wellness Center located at 9 Broadway, says "I came back to NJ 14.5 years ago and started my practice in my hometown.  I wanted to give back to the community I grew up in and now more than ever I would like to give back to those who suffered most during the devastation of Sandy.  Every year I look forward to celebrating the holidays but also so I can  help those less fortunate by providing them with food, coats, gloves and scarves.  This year is more difficult with so many who lost everything at the NJ Shore.   Many of us take for granted that we can bundle up when we go out in the cold, or when we get home to our warm house and food waiting on our table. This year more than ever many New Jerseyans don't have clothing, a good coat, outerwear or food for themselves and their family."

Dr. Brokstein and Hometown Family Wellness Center will be accepting donations of unwanted  apparel such as shirts, pants, shoes, coats, hats, gloves and scarves in good condition and non perishable foods starting immediately until January 1, 2013.
