New York Cardiovascular Associates welcomes two new cardiac experts to its team of heart specialists
New York Cardiovascular Associates is excited to welcome two new cardiac specialists to its team of providers. Joyce Yeung, RN, ANP, and Seol Young Han Hwang, MD, FASE both bring their expertise to NYCVA’s Women’s Heart Health program.
Nov. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Joyce Yeung, who is fluent in Chinese, is Board Certified in Cardiac Vascular Nursing and Certified in Adult Critical Care and Cardiac Surgery Subspecialty. She received her Master of Science degree in Adult Nurse Practitioner from Hunger College. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and a degree in Health Information Management. Her professional career has given her extensive experience in adult critical care, emergency medicine, and cardiology — both in private practice and in some of New York’s leading hospitals.
Dr. Han Hwang, fluent in Korean, earned her Medical Degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She is highly recognized and extensively accredited. She holds four diplomate certificates from accreditation organizations in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Vascular Interpretation. She has conducted extensive research in congestive heart failure, peripheral artery disease, coronary artery disease, and other areas. She has also donated numerous hours as a volunteer for multiple charitable organizations in the U.S. and needy countries around the world.
Dr. Han Hwang and Ms. Yeung are excited to be part of NYCVA’s team of cardiac specialists, and are especially committed to helping women in New York improve their cardiac health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among American women, responsible for an estimated half a million deaths per year.

New York Cardiovascular Associates has been serving the five boroughs of New York since 2005. It was formed from several cardiac, pulmonary, and internal medicine practices that had been treating New Yorkers for over 35 years.
