Kate’s Real Food Teams Up With New Ambassadors

Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Kate’s Real Food is proud to welcome two new players to their ambassador team. Both mountain ascenders, but in different seasons, Brendan Leonard and Nikki LaRochelle will be representing Kate’s bars on both the slopes and the slabs.

“We are stoked to welcome Brendan and Nikki to our team,” says Kate Schade, Founder and Innovator at Kate’s Real Food. “They both exemplify what Kate’s Real Food is all about – real people getting after it on a daily basis, without pretention. We are proud to have them representing us as they continue their successful careers.”  

Living out of his van, and on friends’ couches across the West, Brendan Leonard adds more than climbing expertise to the Kate’s team. His witty humor belies his true athleticism, and provides entertainment for the many who read his musings. Host of semi-rad.com, Brendan enjoys sharing his perspective and adventures in the mountains. He is the rare type that can come away from an adventure with bragging rights that he chooses not to brag about.

“Let’s be honest. A man cannot live on burritos alone. Especially at 10,000 feet. For me, the next best thing is Kate’s Real Food,” says Leonard, who is happily joining the Kate’s team for the delicious benefits. “I’m active, busy and a total sloth when it comes to preparing my own food. So I’ve eaten Kate’s Real Food for bars for breakfast, lunch and dinner on different occasions. Sad? Nah, they’re really good.”

Nikki LaRochelle is equally as modest, but her ski mountaineering skills tell another tale. Born, raised and currently residing in the great state of Colorado, Nikki’s other passions include anything outdoors, and graphic design. She loves ski mountaineering for the adventure, not for the glory, and is happiest when adventuring with friends. She will be proudly representing Kate’s Real Food at ski mountaineering and ascent series’ around Colorado this winter.
