Follow on Google News | International Exhibition of Botanical Art On View in New YorkThe 15th Annual International exhibition of the American Society of Botanical Artists at The Horticultural Society of New York remains on view through November 21st.
The exhibition opened to a crowd of new and familiar faces who were on hand for the reception on Friday evening, September 14th. Among a number of speakers at the reception, Chris Murtha, Director of Exhibitions for The Horticultural Society of New York expressed his gratitude to the artists. "We owe a big thank you to the artists for their amazing work, for continuing the tradition of botanical art and for moving it forward in new and exciting ways". Robin Jess, Executive Director, American Society of Botanical Artists welcomed the guests. "We are here to celebrate the artists who are inspired by the beauty of the plant world...their art is linked to a love of the natural world and dedicated to representing it realistically...but the best of the works never forget that they are art with a capital "A"! Carol Woodin, Exhibitions Director for ASBA presented the following awards.
