By: You Do Yoga LLC As the days grow shorter and cooler, we have two bright warm yoga studios and lots of classes and special events lined up for the wintry days ahead. We will give you the highlights below, and remember that you can always find the most up to date information on www.YouDoYoga.com Our Anderson Township studio schedule will see one minor change. We have discontinued our Prenatal Yoga class, and in its place Shane will be leading a Core Yoga class on Wednesdays 7-8pm. Also, by popular demand Shane will continue hosting a free open meditation session Mondays starting at 8:40pm. Our Downtown schedule will see a new addition: Beginning November 10th, every Saturday 3-4pm Gina will be leading our newest class: Yoga Toning! Expect to sweat and strengthen with this power hour of moving meditation. Gina will also be leading the Beginners Yoga class 1:30-2:30pm on Saturdays. Come for either one or stay for both if you dare! Our next round of Taoist Yoga Teacher Training is coming up fast, and only two open spots remain! The While you may be aware that our Taoist Yoga Teacher Training is different from most others, we are equally aware that many people are not able to commit to our entire 200 hour program. That is why we are continuing to offer pieces of our training curriculum in a weekend workshop format. You Do Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance, and can grant CEUs for attending these events. The latest offering is a series of philosophy workshops covering some of the seminal texts of yoga. Teachings of the East is a 6 part series taking place January thru June of 2013. You can attend single sessions, or register in advance for the entire series at http://www.youdoyoga.com/ Saturday November 3rd 1-3pm Dave Magliano will be leading a seminar on the therapeutic aspects of martial arts. Dave has 30 years experience in Japanese martial arts teaching and training, and over 25 years experience in orthopedic sports medicine, physical therapy and rehabilitation. In this seminar we will explore Ki energy movement exercises, individual stretching and warm up sequences, partner stretching, joint mobilization, and breathing exercises. Please stay after the seminar for a brief martial arts demonstration and light refreshments. You will need a partner for many of these techniques, so please bring a friend if you can. http://www.youdoyoga.com/ We are hosting another Family Yoga and Movie night November 16th at 6:30pm! Enjoy an all ages yoga practice, then relax and settle in with a family friendly movie. Feel free to bring snacks and your PJs for the movie.
