45th Annual Cornish Christmas Celebration

Cornish Christmas is THE original Sierra Foothills Celebration! The event takes place for five weeks (every Friday) starting the day after Thanksgiving and on into December.

Recapture the spirit of Christmas past with vendors dressed in Cornish attire all set in the charming surroundings of historic downtown Grass Valley. Our shops, restaurants and tasting rooms are open late. Find that perfect gift, and enjoy culinary delights.

Mill and W. Main Streets are closed to  traffic and filled with the sights and sounds of an old fashioned Christmas; hand-crafted vendors, old-fashioned sweets and treats from one of our food vendors, entertain your family by stopping at one of 4 stages filled with carolers, musicians, magicians, quartets, and of course the Grass Valley Cornish Carol Choir will be appearing nightly on the Union Steps at 6:30 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.

Santa Claus will be available for pictures and visits in Santa's Workshop at 145 Mill Street from 5 p.m. t o 10 p.m. Free gift wrapping for your downtown purchases, free kids activities, letters to Santa, face painting and more! Check out the workshop for more details.
