MochaCares Foundation Announces Campaign To Raise Funds For Hurricane Sandy
The MochaCares Foundation announced today a campaign to raise money and accept goods for 100 families affected by Hurricane Sandy. The campaign provides emergency resources for mothers and children that are without pampers, formula and toiletries.
On Oct. 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy hit the landfall, leaving eight million people without power, four million children home from school, three million homes without food and has left thousands without shelter. On the night Sandy hit the landfall, MochaMommies began making plans for a campaign that will contribute to the babies and moms that were affected.
“Words cannot express the sadness that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the hurt and stress of those affected and their families, but my heart goes out to them. The entire membership of MochaMommies stands in support of our east-coast family and we will do whatever is necessary to help.” said Ashley Henry, President of MochaCares Foundation and MochaMommies LLC. “We have members on the east-coast that were affected and our thoughts and prayers are with them as well”.
MochaCares calls on the support of the community by donating money to provide formula, pampers and toiletries to those that were affected. In addition to a financial contribution, community members are encouraged to donate gift certificates, store vouchers and boxes of goods.
