Nov. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Leading wearable action sports camera maker Drift Innovation has renewed their sponsorship of American race driver Pete Olson for 2013 [http://www.driftinnovation.com].

Olson will be competing in the Asia Formula Renault Championship next year, with the aim of becoming the first American to win a professional race series in China.

“Things are definitely looking good for 2013” said Olson. “This season we had some technical setbacks equipment-wise, and of course it has been a season of further development for me as a driver, my first full season in Formula Renault. But next year we’ll have the right car to get the job done, and with the progress made this year I have no doubt we will be in a position to win the series overall.”

The Drift HD170 Stealth has been gaining momentum in the China motorsports market due its ease of use, durability, rotating lens and remote control.

“As a learning tool for driver improvement, the Drift in-car videos are invaluable” said Olson. “You can replay all the race action for post-race analysis, and in testing, you are able to see far beyond what the data shows you, to get the full picture of what is going on with the driver and car. In addition, we’ve tried all types of onboard cameras, but Drift are the only ones that we’ve found are tough enough to survive the rigors of being mounted on a car such as the Formula Renault.”

With the longer life battery and 32 GB memory space, the Drift HD170 Stealth provides plenty of room for high-quality 1080p recording for Formula Renault race events, while the remote control makes it possible for the driver to activate the camera on the starting grid, with an audible alert to confirm the camera has begun recording.
