She is also the author of the popular “Confessions of April Grace” series. McCrite writes emotional and funny stories that characterize ordinary people living from the depths of their ordinary souls. She is a former psychiatric caseworker with a degree in psychology from Drury University. Her short stories have appeared in The Storyteller, Woman’s World, and Kansas City Voices, as well as several articles, which were published in Ozarks Mountaineer, Ozarks Reader and Ozarks Magazine. In 1999, McCrite was listed in the Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.
