ArtisTech Media Releases Powerful Post-Progressive Metal Instrumental “Svetlost”

Oct. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Next Gen music label Artistech Media is proud to release Petar Alargic’s impassioned post-progressive metal instrumental “Svetlost” on TuneTrack today.  This powerful track with massive guitars, rumbling bass, and precise drums captivates the listener with its waves of raw energy.  An enthralling music video that uses nature to visually demonstrate the dynamics of the song accompanies today’s release.  

“The main idea behind 'Svetlost' was to create a wall of sound which could move the mountains and bleed the skies, while relying solely on the expressive possibilities of the minimalistic form such as the triol,” Petar explained. “I have tried to capture the aural representation of mass, a tectonic texture based on sole minimalism.  The music video, done by Luke Chrisinger, portrays all these motives really well.”

Petar Alargic is a Serbian performer, musician, and producer who utilizes his guitar as his primary tool while exploring the sounds of metal, electronic and ambient sound.  ArtisTech Media discovered Petar through the international remix website ccMixter.org, where he sought musical collaboration under varying Creative Commons licenses.  Petar Alargic has released two TuneTrack-LPs with ArtisTech Media:  Classient Vinyl L1 [2011], a delicate fusion of orchestral and ambient genres, and Ambitronika L1 [2010], an intricate exploration of ambient textures and soundscapes.  “Svetlost” is Petar’s first official metal release on TuneTrack.  Future releases, including an EP titled Heavy Electronics Department, are on the immediate horizon.
