By: SEO 2 Marketing Thailand Born in 1976 in San Felipe, New Mexico Isaiah started his career as a Native American Jeweler when he was just 14 years old. At 18 years of age after graduating from the Santa Fe Indian School he began to sell his wearable art under the entrance of Santa Fe’s Governor’s palace turning jewellery making into his main source of income ever since. Isaiah Ortiz is a leading contemporary American jewellery artist whose distinctive approach to jewellery design has evolved from his father’s teachings but declares his jewellery ‘has come a long way’ since creating his first simple pieces. He has shown his works at the Santa Fe Indian market as well as the Heard Museum, with one of his pieces in the permanent collection of the Autry National Center Museum, Los Angeles. The Silver Plume Gallery opened in 2011 by Tad Anderman and Vickie Yorke is proud to present one of Australia’s Native American jewellery events of the year and warmly welcome all would like to attend with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet one of the greatest Pueblo jewellery designers of our time, Isaiah Ortiz who will be joining us on our opening night, 9th November from 6-9pm.
