Oct. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- BabyGearLab, known for its rigorous testing and reviews of baby products, today announced the winners of its 2013 Best Baby Bottle Review. Awards were made in four categories: Editor’s Choice Award; Best Value Award; Top Pick for Eco-Health, and Top Pick Award for Breast Pumping Moms. Winners were selected from a field of 18 finalist baby bottles, each of which was subjected to detailed hands-on testing and rated on multiple performance metrics. The complete test results can be found here:

In the Editor’s Choice category, BabyGearLab awarded the Comotomo Natural Feel bottle. According to BabyGearLab’s founder, Dr. Juliet Spurrier,  “The Comotomo impressed us with its combination of silicone materials, which are considered safer than plastic, and its natural breast-like feeling.”

For the Best Value Award, Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature took the prize. “No other bottle we tested outscored the Tommee Tippee in overall performance, and yet the street price of $7/bottle (when purchased in a 3-pack) is very reasonable,” said Spurrier.

The Top Pick Award for Eco-Health went to Pura Kiki. “There remains lingering concerns over the potential toxicity of even BPA-free plastics in baby bottles,” BabyGearLab’s founder Dr. Juliet Spurrier said, “and materials like glass, silicone, and stainless steel are considered safer choices for baby bottles.  The Pura Kiki stainless steel bottle was the best scoring eco-health bottle in our tests.”

As for the Top Pick for Breast Pumping Moms, the award was given to the Playtex Baby Drop-ins Premium Nurser. According to Spurrier, “our testers who were pumping found the Playtex Drop-ins Premium Nurser to be convenient system that provides an easy maintenance and feeing experience. Their unique approach makes the process of pump-store-feed simpler and easier.”
