RHCA Recognizes KAI Texas President for Advocacy of Female Business Leaders in Texas
The Regional Hispanic Contractors Association recently named KAI Texas President and COO Darren L. James, AIA, a 2012 Luna Awards finalist for his noted support of female entrepreneurship in Texas.
Luna Awards finalists were recognized during the 6th Annual Luna Awards Luncheon on October 25th at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, which was held in conjunction with the 2012 RHCA Women’s Business Conference. The RHCA, which has been a fixture in the DFW construction industry for nearly two decades, works with its members, local and state officials, industry leaders, and community members to promote fairness in contractual bids and to help stimulate economic growth for Texas’ Hispanic contractors. The RHCA also provides educational, financial, legal, and mentorship resources and opportunities for its members.
James and his staff at KAI Texas, a Texas-based design-build firm founded in 1999 and headquartered in Dallas, collaborate on projects within a wide array of industries, including education, healthcare, and transportation. James is a noted architect, author, and speaker, and is a firm believer that female business owners and professionals significantly benefit the growth and expansion of the building design industry.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to be recognized for simply doing the right thing – encouraging and supporting women to become industry leaders and business owners within the field of building design and construction,”
