Oct. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- For many years Spain has been the most popular holiday destination for the British, but recent reports have indicated that visits abroad are falling sharply, and the British tourist is looking for holiday options in the UK.

At this time of considerable economic uncertainty the UK will continue to benefit from the ‘stay at home’ Brits. It is a fact that bookings for UK holidays have risen more than 40% last year and is still on the rise.  The Caravan Club confirmed that bookings in the UK holiday and touring parks is up as holidaymakers choose to opt for self-catering and value for money holidays.

The West Country has always been a popular destination for holidaying in the UK, and owners of touring caravans, motor-homes, and campers are using them much more and taking up residence on one of the many Cornwall Caravan parks (http://www.wooda.co.uk) for the duration of their holiday.

Campsites in Cornwall (http://www.wooda.co.uk) or Devon have changed beyond recognition over the last decade and are coming into their own with extensive leisure facilities and excellent levels of service, making this type of holiday very family-orientated.

Static caravans, holiday cottages, camping, or siting a touring caravan or motor-home can be an option on any caravan park Cornwall (http://www.wooda.co.uk), and if renting the park’s accommodation the holidaymaker will find this to be of very high standard.  Visitors can book either a two or three bedroom static van or holiday cottage, and most of the parks in this county have magnificent views of the Cornish coast.

Holidaymakers wishing to enjoy plenty of outdoor living may well choose a campsite Devon or one in Cornwall, and using their chosen site as a base, can tour all around both counties.  There is much to see and do in both Devon and Cornwall, there is Dartmoor and a short drive will take you to the Eden Project. If you enjoy walking there is nothing better than the cliff tops at Bude which is one of the most spectacular sections of the South West Coast Path.

Bude is in North Cornwall on the border with Devon and this area is very popular and excellent if wanting to tour around both counties as you can either choose a Devon caravan park, or one in North Cornwall and you will be approximately in the centre of both counties.

Bude is renowned for its excellent surf and is therefore very popular with surfers but there is also plenty to do for the whole family, for example rock climbing, canoeing, and abseiling, and the clean sandy beaches are ideal for families.

A spokesman for Wooda Farm Holiday Park in Bude North Cornwall said “our facilities for camping are second to none, with premier pitches, individually screened with their own waste, water and electricity; it is the perfect holiday solution for those wishing to tour Cornwall or Devon.  Wooda Farm offers plenty of facilities actually on site, fishing in our own lake, golf, clay pigeon shooting, archery, badminton, and for the younger children tractor and trailer rides, and fun petting the domestic animals on the farm”.
