Toyota Ta-Tas "Make Strides to End Breast Cancer"

      Wilkes-Barre’s Kirby Park was the setting of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides to End Breast Cancer walk on Saturday, October 20th.  Toyota of Scranton proudly organized a team with over 15 employees and family members to participate. The walk began with some “laughter yoga”. We he-he-he’d and ha-ha-ha’d to warm up for the event.  Next, a brave survivor walked on stage and shared her story and explained how the American Cancer Society helped her in so many different ways. Wearing our pink striped shirts, the aptly named Toyota Ta-Ta’s Team completed the 5k walk through Kirby Park and across the Market Street bridge in no time at all.  We were happy to raise over $1,500 to support the noble cause.  To see photos of the event and our team, please view our Facebook album at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.101510758353771....

        Funds raised from this year’s walk help support cancer research to find, prevent, treat and cure breast cancer.  They also help provide access to mammograms and aid in providing support to women who have or have had breast cancer.
