iTwin Wins the Prestigious National Infocomm Award

Oct. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Singapore-based security start-up iTwin is proud to announce that it has been awarded the National Infocomm Award in the “Most Innovative Product/Service” category.

In 2010, iTwin launched the iTwin Remote File Access device. This enabled two online computers anywhere in the world to share files securely and with plug-and-play usability. iTwin comprises two identical halves. When paired together, the halves generate random encryption and authentication keys. Since the keys are known only to the two halves, this enables hardware-key based security.

The two halves each have a USB connector, with which they can be plugged into a computer (like when using a flash drive). This enables the plug-and-play usage, which is simpler for users, compared to login and password required by most remote access software.

iTwin released a new feature called iTwin SecureBox on 16th Oct 2012, to bring hardware-key based security to the Cloud, thus enabling more secure cloud storage. With iTwin SecureBox, users can store their sensitive data in the Cloud and get the best of both worlds: the convenience of the Cloud and the security of iTwin.

iTwin customers include Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and on-the-go professionals. iTwin saves them time and mental bandwidth, by being simple to use while  providing them the important reassurance that their data is safe.

iTwin has also received the Red Dot award, CEA Design and Engineering award and the Popular Science award, for its usability and innovation.
