Nederlands Dans Theater's "Move to Move"

-- BIG ARTS opens its 2012-2013 Opera & Ballet in Cinema season Thursday, November 15 with a screening of Nederlands Dans Theater’s Move to Move
. The season continues December 14 with the opera, Peter Grimes
(January 10), Carmen
(February 27), Don Quixote
(March 27), and The Rite of Spring
(April 11). All screenings are 7 p.m. at BIG ARTS Schein Performance Hall, 900 Dunlop, Road, Sanibel; general admission $20.

The Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) comes to the big screen at BIG ARTS with Move to Move
, an evening of four contemporary dance masterpieces:
“Left Right Left Right” choreographed by Alexander Ekman; “Secus” by Ohad Naharin; and Sol Léon and Paul Lightfoot’s “Silent Screen” and “Shine A Light.” Don’t miss this performance the Sunday Herald
calls a “retina-shredding spectacle of passion and power” by “the world’s most magnificent dancers.” One of the leading contemporary dance companies in the world, the NDT was born in 1959 with a passion to develop the emerging world of modern dance.
opera will not be shown December 7, and La Bayadère
ballet will not be shown on November 15, as was scheduled.
