Moonshine Showcase “Walks the Line” with Johnny Cash’s Legendary Guitarist

Oct. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- In the little town of Wabasha resides The Broadway Theater.  Since it’s renovation in 2009 Barry Hill & crew have been putting on shows under the promotional name Moonshine Showcase.  Moonshine Showcase has hosted a number of large acts in the last few years, but few have rivaled that of Johnny Cash’s legendary guitarist, Bob Wootton. After all, who doesn’t like Johnny Cash……really.  Any critic would be hard pressed to find someone for a genuine distaste for those classic lyrics and timeless guitar.  The love for that music has kept Bob Wootton playing the hits for decades after his 30 year tenure with Mr. Cash.

Owner of Moonshine Showcase,  Barry Hill, highlights the historical significance of Johnny Cash’s music and how it holds true today.  “People young and old come from all around to here the hits of Johnny”.  Hill continues to explain that Guaranteed Cash is the best Johnny Cash tribute show around.  “He (Bob) looks like Johnny Cash, sounds like Johnny Cash and of course plays the songs just like the day they were recorded.”  

Moonshine Showcase has just finished its first full season of shows.  The 2012 season that began with “Songwriters in the Round” featuring Mr. Wootton, The Sudden Lovelys and The Dovtailers.  Hill reflects on his February show saying “Bob is not just an extremely talented musician, but a legend.  He was in the area, so it was an easy decision to have him as a part of the first show of the season”.  With the season technically ending in October, Moonshine Showcase added this show for an extra treat to motivate people to return for next season.   Hill says “It only made sense to have Bob be a part of our final show for the year and have Guaranteed Cash keep everyone excited for our shows in 2013”.
