1-800-GOT-JUNK Founder to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Brian Scudamore will be awarded by the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization for his entrepreneurial achievements.
Oct. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Brian Scudamore is no stranger to entrepreneurship.  Brian started 1-800-GOT-JUNK? At the age of 18 in Vancouver, Canada.  Brian will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and be inducted into the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) Hall of Fame at the CEO National Conference on November 2nd.

Brian has received numerous awards and his company has been featured on leading shows including ABC Nightline, Good Morning America, the Today Show, The View, Oprah, and more.  1-800-GOT-JUNK? Is also the starring junk removal service for the show Hoarders on A&E.  

Scudamore started the company with a $700 investment in an old truck back in 1989.  After his business started to take off, he dropped out of school to focus on the business.  At the time of dropping out of school, the company had 3 trucks.  Today, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is a franchise and has 1,000 trucks on the road and over 180 locations in the United States, Canada, and Australia, and generates revenue in excess of $105 Million.

The CEO National Conference is a three day conference that will host over 1,200 students and entrepreneurs on November 1-3.  Former Hall of Fame inductees include Priceline.com founding member Jeff Hoffman, Steve Wozniak from Apple, Robert Kiyosoki from Rich Dad Poor Dad, Michael Delazzer of Radbox, John Hughes (The Coleman Foundation & former CEO of Fannie May Candy Shops), and many more.
