Queens Long Island Medical Group Selects SA Ignite as Meaningful Use Reporting and Attestation Solution
MU Assistant Accelerates Path to MU for 200 Allscripts Enterprise-Based Providers
CHICAGO, Ill., October 24, 2012 – Queens Long Island Medical Group (QLIMG) has chosen the MU Assistant® cloud-based software solution from SA Ignite, Inc. to streamline and automate their “last mile” of achieving Meaningful Use (MU) and attesting for Medicare’s Stage 1 incentive payment. MU Assistant® has been dubbed the “TurboTax® for Meaningful Use reporting” for its ability to automate MU reporting and enable one-click electronic attestation to CMS.
“Choosing SA Ignite was the fastest decision we have ever made,” said Viswanth Balachander, MD, who has led the program for QLIMG. “And as a result, we are now working at lightning speed to meet our previously aggressive and now very achievable goal of completing Stage 1 MU attestation for our physicians by the end of the year.
We could not have worked at this lightning speed without SA Ignite and its MU Assistant solution.”
QLIMG continues to show pioneering leadership in HIT; it was one of the first medical groups to offer patients a secure medical records system and was the first practice in the state of New York to achieve NCQA recognition as a level 3 PPC-PCMH – the highest level of recognition achievable. QLIMG uses Allscripts Enterprise as its Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
“When we were looking for a way to quickly get to Meaningful Use compliance and through attestation, we saw that MU Assistant had worked seamlessly with multiple clients on Allscripts Enterprise. And it was refreshingly surprising to learn just how positive others’ experiences with SA Ignite have been,” Dr. Balachander said.
Navigant, a healthcare consulting company, recommended SA Ignite’s solution to QLIMG.
“QLIMG is part of the Medicare Advantage program which has a different filing process than the traditional Medicare program. More coordination is required, and we knew MU Assistant could help them reach their goals even in the face of a more involved filing process,” said James M. Fojut, Director in the Healthcare practice, Navigant. “Simply put, SA Ignite’s solution saves our clients a lot of time and headaches.”
Specifically, MU Assistant’s unique features allowed QLIMG to:
· Ensure MU reports never had to be run manually again
· Gain insights by viewing day-by-day trends versus the monthly trends they previously relied on
· Get a quick snapshot of which physicians were ready to attest
· Communicate providers’ performance to them via the system’s Provider Scorecard
· Complete all information required for attestation through a single, simple interface
· File electronically, saving significant time and improving accuracy
· Automatically electronically capture audit-related documentation
· Easily learn where exclusions were possible, helping physicians reach MU faster
· View future projections to further pinpoint issues and prepare for State 2 thresholds
“We are enthusiastic about our partnership with QLIMG because they are such a highly-valued and trusted institution, with deep roots going back decades in the New York area. We share a commitment to bettering patient care and overall healthcare system efficiency through thoughtful use of technology,”
