Jan. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Arizona Raft Adventures, a multi-generation, family owned and operated rafting company, is now accepting reservations for your trip of a lifetime in 2014. Trips down the Colorado River through Grand Canyon are perfect for families, couples, friends and individuals wanting to escape everyday life. The three trip types offered include: the Classic Adventure, the All-Paddle Adventure and the Motor Adventure. The Classic Adventure is comprised of oar and paddle rafts which allow guests the opportunity to spend a day paddling on the paddle raft or sitting back and relaxing on the oar raft. The All-Paddle Adventure is for the adventurous soul who wishes to paddle 100% of the time spent on the river. Finally, the Motor Adventure, which features 32’ motor powered rafts, allows guests to travel down river with the security of a larger raft.

The Classic and All-Paddle Adventures both have three trip lengths through Grand Canyon National Park, including the 14-16 day full canyon option (226 miles of the Colorado River), the 6-7 day upper canyon option (89 miles of the River) or the 9-10 day lower canyon option (137 miles of the River). The upper canyon trips require a hike out of the Canyon on the 7.5 mile Bright Angel Trail, and similarly, the lower canyon trips require a hike into the Canyon on the Bright Angel Trail. The Motor Adventures traverse 226 miles of the Colorado River from Lee’s Ferry to Diamond Creek in 8 or 10 days.

Arizona Raft Adventures also offers specialty trips every year, such as the Hiker’s Discovery, the Dories and Stories, the Yoga trip and the Natural History trip. The Hiker’s Discovery is the perfect trip for any avid hiker looking to capitalize on the hiking opportunities provided in the famous Grand Canyon. The Dories and Stories trip features a mix of four oar rafts and two dory boats, as well as storyteller, Grand Canyon author and expert historic boat-builder, Brad Dimock. The Yoga experience is offered for enthusiasts to practice their love of yoga as much as possible in the tranquil and peaceful Canyon. Finally, the Natural History trip is the perfect rafting adventure for those who love history, geology, ecology, botany, archeology, climate, among other Southwest topics. No matter which trip you choose, your guides will open the gateway to the grandeur of the Canyon, including the adventure, beauty, camaraderie, backcountry camping and of course, the whitewater rafting.

To make a reservation, call Arizona Raft Adventures at 800-786-7238 to speak with a reservationist and begin the reservation process.
