(Atlanta, GA) October 22, 2012— New York Times Best Selling Authors Mary Monroe and Pamela Samuels-Young, were honored at the Reading Diva's 5th Annual "Black Authors and Readers Rock" weekend October 19 – 21, 2012. Author Lonz Cook, “When Love Evolves” was a panel member discussing “Is Urban Lit Really Literature?” moderated by Sharon Lucas. Lonz sparked a passionate conversation and won the hearts of new readers. The Reading Diva’s had approximately 300 people fellowshipping among other lovers of books, authors, purchasing books, enjoying good food and hearing from some of today's most prolific African American Authors at the Metro Points Hotel in New Carrollton, MD. The Reading Diva's celebrated their 15th year anniversary of book lover’s sisterhood. The Diva’s sponsor a "Literary Brunch" each October featuring African American authors and this celebration highlighted a number of them. Lonz Cook commented, “Interacting with book clubs gave me a new perspective on the way clubs select the book of the month. The event opened the invitation to meet with book clubs in the future. I plan to visit many book clubs as a guest author.” Lonz hopes new readers will participate in his Global Book Discussions via Skype during the months of October, November and December 2012.
