Adopt-a-Family for the Holidays

Oct. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Wednesday, October 24th marks the launch of the annual Adopt-a-Family program at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC).  During the holiday season, BGCMC selects Club Members and their families who are in need to be “adopted.”  This year, over 130 Member families throughout the County have been selected.  BGCMC invites individuals and businesses in the community to help provide them with gifts for the holidays. Those interested in helping are given a wish list of items to purchase for all the children in the family. The gifts are then dropped off at the Seaside Clubhouse by December 12th to be wrapped by volunteers and given to the families in time for the holidays.

Supporters can also volunteer to help wrap presents or make a monetary donation to the Adopt-a-Family Holiday Fund. In 2011, 345 kids had an extra special holiday season because of Adopt-a-Family support.
