North Carolina Hardee’s Kick off Fall Fundraiser for Patriot Foundation
North Carolina Hardee’s® restaurants will kick off a fundraiser tomorrow to provide educational scholarships for children of fallen Fort Bragg soldiers, while also providing customers with great discounts on Hardee’s menu items.
The North Carolina regional fundraiser will run through Veterans Day on Nov. 12, at all Hardee’s locations statewide. Customers can purchase a star cut out for $1 in exchange for a special coupon sheet with discounts valued at more than $10 on Hardee’s menu items. The stars will be personalized with the customer’s name and serve as decoration on the walls of the restaurant. All proceeds raised from the sale of stars will benefit the Patriot Foundation.
This is the third year that Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Hardee’s largest franchisee in North Carolina and the U.S., has organized a fundraising campaign for the Patriot Foundation.
“Since Hardee’s was born here in North Carolina, we’re proud to be supporters of our state’s military families,” said Jerry Allsbrook, chief marketing officer for Boddie-Noell Enterprises. “We’re committed to the work the Patriot Foundation does for these families who have made such great sacrifices and who fight for our freedom every day.”
The Patriot Foundation supports five charities that provide scholarships for dependent children of Special Operations, the 82nd Airborne, the 18th Airborne Corps, the Warrior Transition Battalion and Survivor Outreach Services for Soldiers, all based in Fort Bragg. The Foundation also provides funding for child care for the families of disabled soldiers whose spouses need to obtain additional development and job training.
“The Patriot Foundation really appreciates the support of Hardee’s in our program to help the families of Fort Bragg soldiers that have been injured, wounded or killed fighting for our country,” said Chuck Deleot, chairman of the Patriot Foundation based in Pinehurst. “There are few more powerful gifts that can be given to these families than to help the children left behind and to honor the service of their soldiers.”
To date, more than 600 children of soldiers have received scholarship support from the organization and over $2 million has been donated since the Patriot Foundation’s founding in 2003. For more information about the Patriot Foundation, visit www.patriotscholarships.com.
