J2 Medical Unveils New X-Ray Cassette Holder

Oct. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- J2 Medical, LP, a global provider of radiology accessories and services, announced the debut of their new portable, multi-positional x-ray cassette holder, the Gymie Pod.  The Gymie Pod, a new take on J2’s existing product the Gymie-R, offers radiology techs a cassette holder that can virtually adjust to any position or angle.  With several world renowned institutions implementing the Gymie Pod system wide, J2 Medical foresees the Gymie Pod changing the way x-rays are taken.  

“Many x-ray cassette holders are bulky, cumbersome and one-dimensional,” said Jarrid Henderson, J2’s president and CEO. “The light-weight design [less than 15lbs] of the Gymie Pod allows Techs to easily position the device as well as take it room to room as needed.  And being that it is multi-positional, techs can utilize the GP for essentially any scenario they encounter.”

Because the radiology industry varies from facility to facility, J2 designed the Gymie Pod to accommodate analog cassettes, Computed Radiography (CR) cassettes, and Digital Radiography (DR) panels.  While the Gymie Pod looks the same for all three scenarios, there are slight differences.  “Film, cassettes, and panels are expensive.  If any of them fall from a cassette holder it can be a significant financial loss to the facility.  Gymie Pod’s ‘head unit’ securely holds any type of receptor and is virtually indestructible, have you seen the break test?” said J2’s VP of Sales and Marketing Adam Smith, referring to their YouTube video of staff attempting (to no avail) to ‘break’ the Gymie. “The GP will withstand anything the Techs throw at it and perform beyond their expectations.  Positioning of the GP is really only limited to the techs imagination.”

The Gymie Pod is the newest addition to the J2 product line, which already includes the world famous Akucal image scaling device and J2’s e-commerce site for what they consider the lowest prices on the web for radiology accessories.
