Mold-Automation Expert & Industry-Leading Mold-Maker join forces to raise tooling industry in China

Oct. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- On September 13th 2012, Shenzhen Changhong Technology Co., Ltd. hosted a visit from OPS-INGERSOLL– supplier of their mighty 'Roboline' automated mold production system – along with over 100 factory owners and senior management, to demonstrate exactly what Asia's first fully automated mold production system can do for lead-times, performance metrics, outwardly-facing image and the bottom line.

OPS-INGERSOLL, located in Burbach/Germany, operates worldwide as a leading technology partner for sparking erosion, high speed milling and automation for the mould and die industry at the highest stage.

CHT's Sales Director Mark Clulow spoke from the company's head office in Shenzhen, where the event took place: "Changhong invested in the OPS-INGERSOLL Roboline in 2010 for around 2 million Euros. Whilst it seems like a large investment, it was purchased with the full understanding of how it not only pays for itself, but ultimately generates impressive income in the long term. Our company is publicly listed and over 10 years old. We are the best in our industry because we are always looking to the future. An investment of this kind is testament to that."

Changhong Technology Director Li Huanchang talked about what it meant to invite direct competition into his global headquarters: "There were initial concerns. It is not common practice in our industry to invite competitors into our place of business to inspect our way of working. However we know that as industry leaders – not just in China but internationally – it is important for us to share our wealth of knowledge with our peers to ensure the on-going improvement of our craft. Opening our doors to the competition is one thing, but opening our doors to industry-wide advancement – that is something else."

Rainer Jung – President of OPS-INGERSOLL attended the event to join CHT in presenting their line. "The Roboline at Changhong showcases some of the very best in the mold & die industry and we are proud to have them as our customer."

He went on to talk about the importance of the event, relating to the global company strategy: "we are driven by consistent automation and never-ending improvement.
