David B. Woodside, a writer from Salt Lake City, won the First Place $100 prize in the bi-monthly August/September 2012 "America's Funniest Humor! (TM)" Writing Contest conducted by HumorPress.com.
For his accomplishment, Woodside has earned $100 in prize money, plus publication in HumorPress.com's online humor showcase. His entry, "Becoming a Realtor®," is a humorous look at being a real estate agent.
"Becoming a Realtor®" will be featured in the current showcase through mid-January 2013, after which new results from a new quarterly contest will be posted.
Other writing awards and recognitions earned by Woodside include 1st Place in a national short story contest, a 1st Place award for his poem entered in the 2012 Utah State Poetry Society contest, other winning entries in the HumorPress.com bi-monthly contests, and numerous other writing and publishing credentials. He is also working on a book featuring his many funny palindrome creations.
HumorPress.com's quarterly writing contests provide great opportunities for writers who specialize in humor, and for those with real-life humorous anecdotes to share.
