Oct. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The forthcoming 8th annual ‘Imperial Wharf Jazz Festival’ is scheduled to take place on Thursday - 13th September 2012 (from 6pm - 10pm), and Saturday - 15th September 2012 (from 1pm - 10pm). This major festival, which is meant specifically for fans of live jazz music in London last year featured big names such as the Soweto Kinch Quartet, Carleen Anderson, Australian singer Nina Ferro, guitarist Sonny Black & Friends, Mano De Dios, Arun Ghosh Quintet, Liane Carroll Trio, Robin Jones King Salsa and Bomba Baja Band.

This year will be no less special as it will be showcasing performances by Cuban Jazz Project and the renowned British saxophonist YolanDa Brown, the Hackney Colliery Band, or the foot-tapping music offered by the multi-instrumentalist Courtney Pine, along with other exciting bands.

Some of Britain's greatest musicians and new promising artists will be performing on one of London's most premier platforms provided by the ‘Imperial Wharf Jazz Festival’, to be held on the Boulevard at Imperial Wharf, located adjacent to Chelsea Harbour and close to the King’s Road and Sloane Square. Londoners can avail themselves of this excellent opportunity to enjoy performances by the finest jazz artists in the UK absolutely free of charge.

The live music programme for Thursday - 13th September 2012 will include Abimaro & The Free’s soulful folk blended performance with melodious vocals, followed by the leading star in British jazz Courtney Pine, who is a source of inspiration to today’s young black musicians.

Saturday - 15th September 2012, will see more cracking events lined up back to back, beginning with the Hackney Colliery Band and the Cuban Jazz Project. There will be exciting musical acts by Matthew Halsall followed by John Etheridge and Christian Garrick with their eclectic collection. Double MOBO award winner in the Best Jazz category, YolanDa Brown will perform from 5pm onwards followed by The Lucinda Bell Orchestra. The finale will be the internationally celebrated British soul singer Omar.

This Mediterranean styled Boulevard in Imperial Wharf will come alive with the Jazz Festival which apart from featuring a series of free live music concerts on the riverside will also be accompanied by culinary delights from the huge variety of bars and restaurants with beautiful views of the Thames.
