-- Following a mega-successful inaugural event in the spring of 2012, submissions are currently being accepted for HollyWeb Festival 2013, which takes place April 5, 6 and 7 at the historic Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, California. “We have expanded considerably for 2013 and cannot wait for the first weekend of April!" said Jennifer Doherty, co-creator of HollyWeb Festival. “We really feel like we are doing something great here - we love being able to honor the web series community and give them credit for their hard work” she added.
All 2013 “Official HollyWeb Festival Selections” will be screened in the state of the art Chaplin Theater at Raleigh, equipped with a 11' x 28' screen, Christie HD projector (up to 2k resolution), and Dolby SR Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. Daniel Doherty, co-creator of HollyWeb Festival added "It is truly a pleasure watching web series creators react to seeing their work projected on the big screen for the first time. Most creators have only seen their series on their own computers, and without a live audience. It doesn't get much better than seeing your hard work on a 30 foot screen!"
The weekend long celebration will culminate with the awards ceremony on Sunday evening, April 7th, at the landmark AVALON Hollywood, a legendary venue located near Hollywood and Vine. Full scale red carpet arrivals will take place immediately prior.
