-- The inaugural Salute America 2012 Air Show, scheduled for Saturday, October 20th, will be hosted at the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport (KPUJ) in Dallas, Georgia.
The 501c3-based event is expected to draw over 10,000 aviation enthusiasts from around metro Atlanta area and the southeastern U.S.. An impressive line-up of static aircraft displays and aerial performers are scheduled for the air show, including well-known aerial acrobatics teams, such as Team AeroShell, the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Wings of Blue Parachute Team and the U.S. Army’s Sky Soldiers Demonstration Team. Other notable performers include the Hawker-Beechcraft Defense Company’s Texan II Demo and a performance by Gary Rower's Vintage Air Shows.
Several unique military aircraft are scheduled to make flyovers during the event, and an excellent variety of both civilian and military aircraft will be on static display during the air show, including a Lockheed C-130 'Hercules' military transport aircraft, an F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet, several private / business aircraft and a U.S. Coast Guard rescue helicopter.
Along with generous corporate sponsorships confirmed from Chik-fil-A and The Coca-Cola Company, the air show is expected to have a significant economic impact throughout Paulding County and the surrounding region. The overall quality of the air show will benefit from the event's planning committee, which includes several military and civilian pilots who possess extensive experience in planning and marketing air shows.
