Central Texas Physician Dr. Allen Mauldin Joins WellMed Medical Group

Oct. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- San Antonio, TX -- Dr. Allen Mauldin is adding his name to the growing ranks of WellMed Medical Group physicians in Central Texas committed to changing the face of healthcare delivery for seniors.

Dr. Mauldin is now part of the WellMed Medical Group and will serve as lead physician at the new WellMed at Leander clinic.

Formerly Leander Healthcare Center, WellMed at Leander is a 3,800 square-foot facility at 2701 S. Highway 183 in the heart of Leander. WellMed at Leander, the second WellMed clinic in Williamson County, is equipped with an on-site lab, a minor surgery room and 7 exam rooms.

Dr. Mauldin, Board Certified in Family Medicine, earned his undergraduate biology degree from McMurray University in 1977. He graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1982 and completed his residency at Texas Tech Regional Academic Health Science Center in Amarillo.

Dr. Mauldin has been practicing medicine in Leander for a quarter century. As a WellMed physician, he and his staff will utilize the nationally recognized WellMed Care Model, focusing on preventive medicine to help patients manage chronic disease and improve health outcomes.
