Employer Withdraws Objection to Employee's Entitlement to Unemployment Benefits

A client of the law firm Imbesi Christensen received notification that he can continue to receive New York unemployment benefits after his employer withdrew its objection. See A.L.J Case No. 012-31875.

Oct. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Attorney Brittany Weiner, an associate of the law firm Imbesi Christensen, successfully represented an employee who received notification that his employer requested a hearing objecting to the his entitlement to unemployment benefits.

After receiving notification that the law firm was representing the employee, the employer withdrew its request for a hearing.  The Honorable Manual Marks issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, which granted the employer's application to withdraw its hearing request.  

DECISION: The employer's application is granted.  The initial determination(s) is (are) continued in effect.  The claimant is allowed benefits.
