-- In a move that is going to make taste-buds happy on the Portsmouth/Chesapeake side of the Norfolk tunnels, Mannino's Italian Bistro had will open a third location of their popular bistro this Friday, October 19, in Old Town Portsmouth. The third restaurant by the Mannino's family, Mannino's Portsmouth will feature the same high quality traditional Italian food that loyal customers have been enjoying in Virginia Beach.
To celebrate the new location, Chef John M. Mannino himself will be on the line and cooking for those who are discovering Mannino's for the first time as well as his longtime fans. Chef Mannino told us that he will be preparing fresh fish specials and other surprises on opening night to further promote the newest restaurant.
In it's opening weeks, like the other two restaurants in Virginia Beach, Mannino's Portsmouth will be open for dinner only. Shortly however, the restaurant will be opening for lunch with a fresh, authentic, all-new new menu just for the lunch crowd, and just for Old Towne. Chef Mannino said "Old Towne Portsmouth is very open to a good quality place to lunch, both for business people on a time clock and for those just looking for a great place to share lunch with family or friends. I am really looking forward to presenting this new menu."
