About Sanders Bohlke:
Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Sanders Bohlke (https://www.facebook.com/
Bohlke’s search for honesty has taken him across some fairly expansive musical territory in the time since that first release. He’s shared stages with artists such as Badly Drawn Boy, Tom Morello and Gomez and, along the way, compiled an impressive collection of songs that were released as EP’s and digital singles. Tracks such as ‘The Weight of Us,’ ‘Search and Destroy,’ ‘The War’ and ‘Quiet Ye Voices’ are far from uniform but alike in their diversion from his earlier work – the tone is darker and the instrumentation more complex.
On the forthcoming new album, ‘Ghost Boy,’ due for release in early 2013, he continues his evolution with lush soundscapes that layer brooding and billowy textures against his soulful voice. Once again recorded in collaboration with producer Jeffrey Cain, they’ve perfected a soundworld that deftly highlights both the beauty and the dark romance of Bohlke’s songs.
